Jeff M. Lewis Paid the Ultimate Compliment

Walt Disney Resorts procured a dozen large Jeff M. Lewis original works for permanent display at Disney’s Paradise Pier Resort across from DisneyPresent153-2Anaheim’s Disneyland. The works are located in the large pre-function room just outside of the resort’s huge ballroom. The pieces include Jeff’s signature work, “THE LORD’S PIER” in a de-saturated version of archival ink on textured fine art 100% cotton rag paper.

To follow the theme of the resort, almost all images are of pier or pier related subjects. There are images of Oceanside, San Clemente, Huntington Beach and Santa Monica piers.

While the ultimate compliment to have the Walt Disney organization recognize and award a contract for art, it means much more to Jeff. He grew up in a small track home within tree house view of Anaheim’s Disneyland Theme Park. As a very young boy, Jeff hammered large nails in each side of a Eucalyptus tree in his back yard to enable him a clear view of the building process during the erection of the Matterhorn thrill ride and other attractions at Disneyland.
